Club Director’s Message

Welcome to the Allante-XLR Chapter of CLC website!

We were established with a Club Constitution for: the development, publication, and exchange of information pertaining to Cadillac Allante and XLR automobiles; to encourage the maintenance,
preservation of all Cadillac Allante and XLR’s; and to promote social fellowship among the members of the club. “It’s not just the car ….It’s the people”!

While there are a few other Allante-XLR Clubs in the U.S., this club is the only one owned by the members, as compared to privately owned or as a part of a business.

To better serve our members, we are a part of the International Cadillac & LaSalle (CLC) Club. The organization provides contact with thousands of members in the U.S. and outside the U.S. Also, there is a dedicated facility on the grounds at Hickory Corners, MI. Built with contributions and support from our club.U.S. CLC holds an annual Grand National moving to various locations in the U.S. with Albuquerque N.M. scheduled for June 2023. During a Grand National judging is done by judges who have been to the CLC Judging School and they use forms that have been developed over the years. It isrigorous.

In addition to the CLC, there is the CLC Museum & Research Center located in Hickory Corners, MI. The museum is located on the Gilmore Campus and opened in September 2014. It was built with contributions and support of many clubs, including ours. The CLC museum has held a Fall Festival ever since opening. As a special
note, our founding Director (Bob Klopfer) donated his 1993 Allante Indianapolis 500 edition to the museum. It is on display at the museum.

Our Chapter offers a monthly newsletter (MidMonth), this Website, a monthly member’s meeting both locally and by Zoom. We are involved in a magazine published irregularly. For those available, an opportunity for members to come together in the way of driving tours, workshops, car shows, museums, etc. We also have a Technical Advisor available to members.

And new to the club, we recently started a Facebook Page and in 6 weeks we have attracted 300 members. A great place for the exchange of technical and parts issues. Or just for bragging rights about your car. Look us up — Allante XLR Chapter of the Cadillac LaSalle Club.

Since our club is member owned, we would like to hear from you and a few stories of your car experiences; a few pictures; a how-to article of something you did with your car; a repair; a work around for an unavailable part; or can someone help me with an issue.

We would like to hear from you.
